Launceston, Cornwall
£150
Description
An original unrestored set of Six Dining Chrome Cantilever Stylish Chairs made by Pieff England. Designed by Tim Bates in the early to mid 1970s.
Pieff was undoubtedly one of Britains most forward and dare I say cutting edge factories producing high end contemporary designs. It was taken over by PEL in 1983.
The Lisse chair was very well made and good examples are still available today including a 'carver' version. These specific chairs are original and in my opinion would benefit from a refresh of the foam and updated seat material, this is not essential as they are perfectly functional and the design with its high back the 'gives' a little when u lean into them are comfortable for long lazy dinners. The chrome frame is undamaged and each chair has the original floor protectors.
Very well made, solid metal chairs
I have priced them inexpensive initially to allow for the reupholstery costs. This will increase the individual and set value significantly as this design is a highly desirable chair and a rare British design classic that will last for many years to come.
Dimensions.
90cm Tall
47cm Wide
46cm seat height
