For sale very rare, fully renovated Ercol ‘Chairmakers’ rocking chair (model 473) designed by Lucian Ercolani as a celebration of ‘Windsor’ chair maker in High Wycombe during the late 60’s.

Ercol furniture is synonymous with good design, quality materials and craftsmanship and is built for longevity. It is now back in fashion (keenly collected and highly regarded). This is a real eye catching piece of vintage, retro furniture which is currently back in production and sale however no longer made from an English Elm wood.

This piece is of the usual high quality one expects from this manufacturer. The saddle seat is of solid ash and the steam bent frame is of beech. Arched back consists spindles and a pierced centre splat. The chair is finished in an Ercol ‘Light Finish’ (Blonde) and satin protective lacquer.

The rocking chair has been professionally restored to its original condition and is being sold in as new condition. It has been striped of all old polish, any dents or scratches removed, re-stained (the seat) and re-polished (three coats of extra durable, water and heat resistant varnish) to a pristine condition. It is free of any damage, splits or wear to joints. The original Ercol blue label is still attached.

Item is available for the collection from London, E7 9JX. I can offer a delivery in person to any London address for at a cost of £45. Delivery to London vicinity area is also possible. Please contact me for a quote before making a purchase. London deliveries are only available on late evenings during the week. I am more flexible with the delivery time on weekends.
