GENERAL DISCRIPTION
These Rare Ercol 909 chairs come with 9 rear back spindles and crynoline stretcher below the seat to help support the legs. The earlier Latimer chairs had plain stretchers - these chair for sale are as the photos - the sort after later Crynoline type that were probably made around 1990. Size wise they are a little more robust and bigger all round than standard Ercol Winsor or Swan Chairs.
The shade is Golden Dawn with Ercol's code for this GD.
They are all sound with little in the way of any marks - There are no loose joints or other defects. The size of the chairs is a bit more generous than the standard Windsor or Swan chairs - with a slightly wider seat area and they are heavier built and that little bit more robust.
There are seat pads with these chairs that are perfectly plump, clean with some signs of wear but are probably much newer than the chairs. These pads are made by Ercol in a fawn shade weaved fabric with attractive browner leaf pattern. They come with purpose made straps and poppers to secure to the chairs
