A very sharp example finished in old English white complimented with period red interior, she was with the prior keeper for 34 years only 25,800 miles indicated red leather seats advisory free MOT a super little Moggie, registered in North Wales in November 1964, this super little Moggie has had just four owners from new, the prior keeper bought the car from JT Jones & Sons who owned Paragon Garage in Penygroes, Gwynedd, in June 1991 at which point it was showing just under 17,000 miles on the clock. The invoice shows that he paid the princely sum of £850.Used very lightly during his long ownership and always kept garaged when not in use, it still only shows 25,795 miles which is believed to be correct and is backed up by no fewer than 27 old MOTs from 1991 2025.In November 1991, just a few months after buying the car, the owner sent it to Phoenix Garage in Birmingham with instructions to go right through it and fix any faults. They fitted new rear springs , new boot seal a good second hand prop shaft and diff new front shock absorbers complete new clutch kit and a thorough service, the bill for this lot coming to £887.There are lots of invoices for subsequent upkeep and routine service items. The interior was treated to new carpets and new red leather seat covers by JM Grant Coach Trimming of Rubery in March 1994 which cost £500. A hand written note states that the engine was reconditioned in 2011 at 24,818 miles although there are no bills to show exactly what was done. the work was carried out by Bromsgrove Engine Services and included a re bore, a reground crank and new valves.Barely used at all over the last dozen years due to the advancing years of the owner, it was last serviced in March 2023 and was also fitted with electronic ignition in September of that year and it has only covered a handful of miles since.Although it no longer needs one, it has an MOT until August 2026 with no advisories recorded and was driven some 50 miles to the sale on a baking hot day with no issues whatsoever.As you can see in the photos, this Moggie is in super condition for a 61 year-old and has been starting instantly and running sweetly as we have driven it on numerous occasions it feels light, nippy and fun to drive. Properly looked after, it will no doubt continue to provide cheap and cheerful motoring for many decades to come.
