Description
1948 Humber Hawk for full restoration project.
Registration mark SH 8??? and have original period correct plates. 1st registration was Berwick area.
Correct V5 in hand. I have owned the car 46 years and been dry stored in this time.
Like many others, I never got around to finish the project. I planned to create a hot rod/pickup truck due to the original rear end of the car body being damaged beyond repair.
Car body, panels and chassis are solid. Original front end panels and suicide doors. Bonnet assembly fitted is from 1938 super snipe WWII staff car.
Many original parts are inside the car. Additional spare front grill, radiator, fuel tank etc. I also have the windscreen plus some other bits included.
Mitsubishi L300/ Delica front axle / suspension set-up.
Mustang rear axle.
Ford Falcon 2.4cc 6 cylinder and transmission in place.
Engine runs with power and fuel supply hooked up.
(I have a 1968 Buick 350 5.7 V8 with 2speed power glide transmission available. Plan to list separately)
Car is on 15” mustang rostyle with nobbly tyres.
Temp steering set-up and car rolls freely. Will need transporter/trailer collection and can help with loading. No working brakes.
Car does not drive. Have a propshaft but not fitted. No interior, wiring etc.
Please be realistic - this is a FULL custom restoration project. Study pictures.
Sensible questions and offers welcome.
Viewing/sale by agreed day and time.
