Magnetic Tape Steel Tape Secondary Glazing Attachment Kit Window Frames 15 Metres
This secondary glazing tape bundle contains all you need for fixing: Secondary Double Glazing Perspex, onto existing window frames, or to install secondary glazing using acrylic panels. This bundle is ideal alternative to double glazing, which is cheaper, more cost effective, and easier to install.
Includes White Faced Steel Tape with Premium Adhesive Backing and Magnetic Tape with White Foamed Adhesive Backing.
The white faced steel tape – with premium grade adhesive – is applied to, and blends in well with, the window frame. The white backed magnetic tape is then applied to the edges of the Perspex sheet, allowing you to easily attach the Perspex to the frame when required, and detach it cleanly when not.
The white faced steel tape is a self-adhesive steel tape, which is a fully lacquered steel tape finished in white. This tape has a premium adhesive backing on one side and is ideal for: sticking to non-steel – or non magnetic – surfaces so that magnets can then be attached to this steel tape. This tape is perfect for use with secondary double glazing, and will bond with most surfaces to prepare a back drop for the magnetic tape.
The magnetic tape with white foamed adhesive backing is a magnetic adhesive tape which has a 1.5mm thick magnetic layer, but, with a foamed-acrylic adhesive. This foamed adhesive will allow for differential rates of expansion and contraction between dissimilar materials under more extreme conditions; and is used as a pairing with the steel tape, ideal fixing aid for secondary-double-glazing sheets.
