Application notes ESPUMISAN Emulsion
The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
How to use?
Take the medicine undiluted. For infants, you can pour the emulsion directly into the bottle or administer with a teaspoon before breastfeeding. Shake well before use.
Duration of use?
The duration of use depends on the nature of the symptoms and/or the course of the illness. If symptoms persist or recur regularly, you should consult your doctor.
Overdose?
No overdose symptoms are known. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
As a general rule: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.
A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information on the package leaflet. As the doctor will adjust it individually, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions.

Dosage:
Excessive gas formation in the gastrointestinal tract, increased gas formation after operations and infant colic:
Infants 1ml (25 drops) several times a day with or after the infant's meal (breastfeeding or bottle), possibly before bedtime
Children aged 1-6 years 1ml (25 drops) 3-5 times a day with or after a meal, possibly before bedtime
Children aged 6-14 years 1-2ml (25-50 drops) 3-5 times a day with or after a meal, possibly before bedtime
Adolescents aged 14 and over and adults 2ml (50 drops) 3-5 times daily with or after a meal, possibly before bedtime.

In preparation for imaging examinations: The medicine will be dosed by your doctor according to the planned examination.
Flushing agent poisoning: As this is an emergency, the dosage is individualized and administered by a doctor.
Dosing aid: A measuring container is enclosed with the medicine to ensure correct dosing.

- Excessive gas formation in the gastrointestinal tract, e.g. flatulence
- Infant colic (abdominal cramps in infants)
- Facilitation of imaging examinations in the abdominal area
- Poisoning with detergents

Mode of action ESPUMISAN Emulsion
How does the ingredient of the medicine work?
The active ingredient helps against flatulence. This is caused by accumulated gases in the gastrointestinal tract, which are present in the form of a fine foam. The active ingredient promotes the elimination of the gases by destroying this foam.

Based on 1 ml emulsion
40 mg simeticone
38.835 mg dimethicone
+ polyoxyethylene (1500) monostearate
+ glycerol monostearate
+ sorbic acid
+ hyprolose
+ sodium cyclamate
+ saccharin sodium
+ water, purified

- Lactation: According to current knowledge, there are no indications that the medicinal product should not be used during lactation.
