The Opportunity

We’re seeking a commercially focused Procurement Leader to shape and deliver the franchising procurement strategy that will transform how bus services operate across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Sheffield..

Key Responsibilities

* Lead procurement for bus franchising, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.

* Develop and deliver a strategic, value-driven procurement approach.

* Oversee risk management and contract management practices.

* Provide expert commercial guidance and drive best practice across the organisation.

* Build strong partnerships with stakeholders and ensure performance excellence.

You will need:

* Full MCIPS membership (or equivalent professional expertise)

* Strong knowledge of UK procurement regulations and public sector practices

* Proven senior leadership experience in procurement, ideally within government

* Commercially astute and strategically minded

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

* Collaborative, resilient, and able to build strong stakeholder relationships
