About Us Adrian Hope Tree Services is a professional, well-established tree surgery business based near Ledbury, Herefordshire. We take pride in delivering high-quality arboricultural services to domestic and commercial clients alike. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a proactive and organised Office Administration Assistant to join our small but dedicated team and help keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes.

The Role This is a varied and rewarding role that sits at the heart of our day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks that directly support our field teams and client relationships. No two days will be the same.

Key Responsibilities Submitting and tracking planning applications with local authorities, ensuring deadlines are met and applications are progressed efficiently Preparing, formatting and sending client quotes, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the process Formatting and processing tree reports to a high standard, ready for client or authority submission Audio typing from recorded dictation to produce accurate written reports, correspondence and documentation General office administration including answering calls, managing emails, maintaining filing systems and supporting the wider team as required What We're Looking For Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail Excellent written communication — you will be corresponding directly with clients and authorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy Audio typing experience is desirable, though training can be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with planning portals or local authority submissions is an advantage but not essential A positive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to manage your own workload Previous experience in an office or administrative environment is preferred Hours & Remuneration We understand that work-life balance matters. This role offers genuine flexibility — we are open to both part-time and full-time arrangements and are happy to discuss hours that work for the right individual. Pay will be competitive and reflect both the hours worked and the experience you bring to the role.
