Folding Powerchairs are very popular items and you can see why.

They combine almost all you could want from a powerchair into one easy to use lightweight package.

About 3 years ago I 'converted' to powerchairs. I still use scooters now and then but my everyday rides are now powerchairs.


Why the conversion?


For most uses I just prefer powerchairs. They have SO many advantages.


The BIG one is manoeuvrability.


Scooters are, putting it politely, a pain in the bottom in supermarkets and shops. The endless 3 point turns and having to worry about running over other shoppers gets very tiring. Powerchairs however, are a delight for shopping.


The ability to spin around in the length of the chair and to drive right up to a shelf or counter makes shopping a pleasure.


Access is another issue, particularly important for people with leg or hip problems such as arthritis.


With a scooter you have to get your legs past the tiller; with a powerchair you just get straight in. It's so much easier to transfer.



Like scooters, powerchairs come in a variety of sizes and shapes. The Monarch is an autofolding, heavy duty, medium weight powerchair, suitable for travel, or everyday use.

This isn't one of those ultra light chairs that's only really good for smooth surfaced supermarkets.

The Monarch is perfectly happy on the average, usually bumpy, pavement and can even handle a bit of off roading if required.

I'm not talking about ploughed fields, but it will certainly handle a trip around a National Trust property or some car boot sales.

The Monarch is a very solidly built chair and feels 'built to last'.

The remote control is a nice feature and as well as being how you fold it up, also gives you 'carer control', allowing a carer, friend or relative to take over the control of the chair if needed.

This Monarch is a stylish, well built, thoroughly modern powerchair with great build quality, convenience and comfort and excellent ride quality.

Built to last not down to a price, the Ezi-Fold is Monarch's top model and costs just under £2300 new. We're selling this barely used example, in showroom condition, for over £1000 less. Why buy new.

DELIVERY


We either deliver on our own transport, or use one of the big courier companies.

The system doesn't allow us to show different prices for different deliveries to different parts of the country, but if you ring before buying, we'll give you a discounted delivery price to your address.

You are also welcome to collect from our base which is in Mawdesley, Lancashire.

Wherever possible we like to deliver personally, as we can demonstrate to you how your new scooter or powerchair operates, show you its features, answer any questions you may have and make sure you're perfectly happy with your purchase.
