The innovative easy folding mechanism is different to other electric wheelchairs and simply folds all the way down with one action, similarly to the way you would fold down a children’s pushchair resulting in a more compact size which is ideal for travel & transportation. With this in mind, the electric wheelchair has the ability to fit into even the smaller car boots and allows it to be stored inside the home without hindrance.
With a lightweight aluminium frame that weighs only 25kg makes it easier to manage when transferring the electric wheelchair to and from your vehicle. The Instafold powerchair includes a modern, lightweight 24 v 10ah Lithium battery which is airline friendly. These batteries are widely used in used in portable electronic devices and are being utilised more and more for mobility products because of their lightweight and portable size. The InstaFold also has a USB port so you can charge your mobile phone (please note that USB charging will reduce the battery life by 4%).
When fully charged the battery will travel up to 7.5 miles, thanks to the batteries small size an additional battery can be charged and carried in the storage bag underneath the chair to provide you will additional range should you be travelling that extra mile.
The InstaFold Powerchair has a metallic silver finish frame and stylish black and silver wheel hubs with easy to clean and virtually maintenance free puncture proof tyres.
