FREEDOMCHAIR A08L
REAR WHEEL DRIVE, 4 WHEEL
HEAVY DUTY, LONG RANGE,
FOLDING POWERCHAIR /ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIR
I have M.E. and I've been a scooter and powerchair user since 2012.
When I give an opinion on a scooter or chair, it's not the opinion of a salesman, it's the opinion of someone who uses and understands what it's like to use mobility scooters and powerchairs.
Serviced, checked, cleaned and tested. In pristine condition. Complete with mains charger.
FREEDOMCHAIR A08L
THE FREEDOMCHAIR A08L IS QUITE SIMPLY MY FAVOURITE HEAVY DUTY, LONG RANGE, PORTABLE POWERCHAIR!
Folding Powerchairs are very popular items and you can see why.
They combine almost all you could want from a powerchair into one easy to use portable package.
I first started using mobility scooters about 11 years ago when I was diagnosed with M.E.
About 3 years ago I 'converted' to powerchairs. I still use scooters now and then but my everyday rides are now powerchairs.
Why the conversion?
For most uses I just prefer powerchairs. They have SO many advantages.
The BIG one is manoeuvrability.
Scooters are, putting it politely, a pain in the bottom in supermarkets and shops. The endless 3 point turns and having to worry about running over other shoppers gets very tiring. Powerchairs however, are a delight for shopping.
The ability to spin around in the length of the chair and to drive right up to a shelf or counter makes shopping a pleasure.
Access is another issue, particularly important for people with leg or hip problems such as arthritis.
With a scooter you have to get your legs past the tiller; with a powerchair you just get straight in. It's so much easier to transfer.
Like scooters, powerchairs come in a variety of sizes and shapes.
The A08L is a very heavy duty, folding powerchair.
Not super light at around 28kgs, but with super build quality, great capability and just SO good to use.
What do I mean by that?
It's that unquantifiable 'feel' of the chair. How you as the user interact with the chair.
It's the solidity of the chair when you use it; the lack of rattles and shakes; how well the wheels and tyres combine with the suspension to smooth out the ride; the way the controller reacts to your inputs so that after only a short while you forget that you're steering and just go where you want to go.
It's a very 'May the force be with you' thing!
You probably have to have used some powerchairs with less 'intuitive' steering to really appreciate and understand what I mean, but it makes the A08L incredibly relaxing to use.
I mentioned the big wheels and tyres. The A08L has larger diameter wheels and tyres than the 'standard' A08 and is also fitted with more 'off road capable' tyres.
Combined with the great ground clearance and the simple but effective suspension, it means that the A08L is genuinely off road capable.
It's not going to go across a ploughed field, or tackle some of the slopes that the enormous 4 wheel drive powerchairs can, but you can't fold them up and pop them in your car boot.
For a portable, the A08L is incredibly capable.
I mentioned range.
Most portable powerchairs have a quoted range of about 5 to 8 miles, which is what the A08L can do on a single battery, but if that isn't enough for you, then you can fit either one or two extra batteries, which doubles or trebles the range.
Folding and unfolding the A08L could hardly be easier; one clip and about 5 seconds.
And when it's folded it stands up on end so you can store it in a cupboard.
I talked a bit about build quality.
The A08L is beautifully built, using top quality materials. It makes it great to look at and great to own. This is a chair that is built to last.
Quality costs!
The A08L is over £2500 new
I use powerchairs and I know them.
If I had to pick one powerchair to have as my 'chair for life', the A08L would be it.
I guarantee you won't be disappointed with the quality, condition and performance of this superb powerchair.

FREE ADVICE
I have lost sales before because I have advised a prospective buyer that the item they intended to buy from me was not suitable for their particular needs.
I would rather do that than sell an unsuitable item to you.
I want you to be happy with what you buy from me.
Mobility Scooters and Chairs come in a HUGE variety of different types and sizes and people do too, so matching one to the other requires knowledge and experience. I have both.
If you are unsure if the item is suitable for you, please contact me before buying and I will be happy to advise you. You'll find my business details at the foot of the listing.
