BRAND NEW HEAVY DUTY BATTERIES
I have M.E. and as well as selling scooters and powerchairs, I have lots of personal experience, as I use them myself.
When I give an opinion on a scooter or chair, it's not the opinion of a salesman, it's the opinion of someone who uses and understands what it's like to use mobility scooters and powerchairs.
I first started using mobility scooters about 11 years ago when I was diagnosed with M.E.
About 3 years ago I 'converted' to powerchairs. I still use scooters now and then but my everyday rides are now powerchairs.
Why the conversion?
For most uses I just prefer powerchairs. They have SO many advantages.
The BIG one is manoeuvrability.
Scooters are, putting it politely, a pain in the bottom in supermarkets and shops. The endless 3 point turns and having to worry about running over other shoppers gets very tiring. Powerchairs however, are a delight for shopping.
The ability to spin around in the length of the chair and to drive right up to a shelf or counter makes shopping a pleasure.
Access is another issue, particularly important for people with leg or hip problems such as arthritis.
With a scooter you have to get your legs past the tiller; with a powerchair you just get straight in. It's so much easier to transfer.
Like scooters, powerchairs come in a variety of sizes and shapes.
The Quickie Q300 Mini is a rear wheel drive 4 wheel heavy duty chair.
I LOVE quickie chairs. They are beautifully engineered things. It's something I appreciate every time I service one.
Some manufacturers chairs, even quite expensive ones, are very poorly designed and use low quality materials.
Quickies are different. They're not made 'to a price', they just make them the best they can be and then charge what they have to charge. The Q300 Mini costs FROM £6750 new. Fortunately ALL powerchairs and scooters depreciate a lot, which means that you can get all that quality for sensible money.
When you work on a Quickie you can see and feel the quality. They're so easy to work on, with everything logically laid out. The quality is there in every part, from the heavy duty motors and super solid steel chassis right down to the nuts and bolts that hold it together; It's all top quality.
I know I'm going on a bit about this, but when you buy a chair, you want it to last and if you look after it, a Quickie could last you a lifetime.
Using the Q300 Mini is a great experience too. And again the quality of it shines through.
You don't get all the rattles and shaking you get on lesser chairs. It just feels good.
You have proper suspension on the Q300 Mini with coil springs and dampers just like you get on cars. These really take the edge off bumps and lumps.
The seating on the Q300 Mini is modular so you can swap and change the seat cushion and back if you want to.
This chair also has the electric seat tilt module which gives you push button full seat tilt from zero to 30 degrees.
This is a lot more useful than you might first think.
If you're reading this then I assume you have a disability and have probably spent a fair amount of time in a wheelchair.
I've been using scooters and chairs for over 10 years now and I know that if you have a long day in a chair, being able to change your position can be a huge bonus. The electric tilt on this Q300 Mini allows you to do that at the touch of a button. It makes a big difference to comfort. It's like the difference between having to lie in bed in one position or being able to roll over! If you see what I mean.
The other advantages of the electric tilt are; if you're going over rougher ground you can get your feet up a bit further so they don't get caught on anything and lastly, if you're stopping for a rest or a sleep you can tilt it right back the full 30 degrees for a nice bit of relaxation!
So, whilst not a function you necessarily 'need', electric tilt is a nice thing to have.
I mentioned rough ground. The Q300 Mini isn't a 'full' off roader but it's certainly capable of handling things like the unmade paths you get at National Trust properties, or taking you around your local park. It gives you so much more freedom knowing your chair can do this.
If you're more of a 'shopping centre' person, then you'll love the manoeuvrability of the Quickie. It can literally turn in its own length, making it easy to thread through narrow gaps and totally avoiding the '3 point turns' that scooter riders have to do.
The Q300 Mini is a real 'use it every day', go (almost!) anywhere chair, brilliantly designed and built to last.

FREE ADVICE
I have lost sales before because I have advised a prospective buyer that the item they intended to buy from me was not suitable for their particular needs.
I would rather do that than sell an unsuitable item to you.
I want you to be happy with what you buy from me.
Mobility Scooters and Chairs come in a HUGE variety of different types and sizes and people do too, so matching one to the other requires knowledge and experience. I have both.
If you are unsure if the item is suitable for you, please contact me before buying and I will be happy to advise you. You'll find my business details at the foot of the listing.
