Vintage KROSNO Art Glass Vase, large and very heavy (7kg), circa 1990s.
Camden, London
£50
Description
This Krosno Art Glass Vase was given to my mum as a gift in the late 1990s.
It is modern minimalist in style, but do not let its simplicity fool you: This vase is large and extremely heavy, weighing in at 7kg!
The piece is mouth-blown and hand-finished from a single piece of Crystalline glass, which refracts the light and creates a lustrous, high-gloss sheen.
It has a soft, cube-shaped profile with sides that gently curve into an oval, and a thick-rimmed oval opening with a u-shaped interior basin and a heavy base.
This piece is in excellent condition but it does have some minor signs of wear to the base (zoom in on last photo).
This Krosno Art Glass Vase can be used for decorative purposes or to display large bouquets.
[Note: Any speckles that can be seen on the glass are dust particles, which I have now gently removed 😊]
MEASUREMENTS:
Height: 26cm (10.2 inches)
Length: 31cm (12.2 inches)
Width: 12cm (4.7 inches)
Weight: 7kg (15.4lb)
Due to the weight of this piece, I would recommend Buyer collection from London N19. However, I would be happy to discuss additional courier & packaging costs if you live farther away.
