MERCEDES BENZ - SL 300 R129 ( 1993 ) - Automatic

Description

Here we have a R129 SL 300 Mercedes Benz with automatic gearbox.

Paintwork may need some slight attention, but generally in good condition. Only some small minor scuffs & scratches as can be expected for a car of this year . The soft top is in good condition but the raise and lower mechanism has an issue and I'm told may need a new module . These can be obtained and fitted for around £ 400 pound .

Leather seats & interior is in good condition with no splits or tears.

6 owners from new , including myself. I have mainly kept the car in dry storage and it has been driven only occasionally . It has only covered 5000 miles in the last 5 years as I now reside in Menorca and only use it as and when I come back to the UK to visit .

I have all the MOTs and history since it was purchased in 1993 . It has a 5 stage auto gearbox. 24 valve version giving you that extra horse power.

This car is still wholly original and is a genuine Classic . Exactly as can be seen in the photos .

There is a very slight issue with the drivers door sticking due to a sticky button ( easy fix ) & an electric window that occasionally has to have a little tap , but both work fine .

Car starts on the button and runs fine . Still drives very nicely and has just had an MOT , so the buyer will benefit from having a full years MOT.

This is an honest account of its condition and is reflected in the asking price . Priced to sell .

The only reason for sale is that I now live abroad and I have to pay storage charges in the UK every year . I only use it on my return to the UK which is becoming less frequent than before, and its no longer worth paying for storage . Far cheaper to hire a car upon my return.

This car will suit someone who enjoys the old classic cars and the joy they bring to us old folks in driving them .
