2009 Mercedes E Class E280 Sport 7G-Tronic. Reluctant sale of my Mercedes E class. Excellent car inside and out for its ages. It is the W211 model with the 3.0 V6 turbo diesel engine. 7speed semi automatic with paddle shift gearbox. Drilled and vented front discs and upgraded 4 pot calipers. Full black leather heated interior with electric front driver and passenger seats and electric adjustable steering wheels. Integrated rear child booster seats. Large boot and space saver spare wheel. Alloy wheels and tyres all in good condition. All electronics in the car work properly.

Over the last 3 months I have had some issues with the car. It cut out on me and wouldn’t start again unless it was over half a tank of fuel…. So the in tank fuel pump and syphon pump replaced and the car started with no issues…. Then it cut out and wouldn’t start again….. so next I replace the high pressure fuel pump in the engine and the car would just turn over but not fire. Checked the codes again and it was now showing a crankshaft sensor (made some sense as the fuel pump is driven by the crank on this model) so another part ordered and replaced but the car still wouldn’t fire up….. until you add some easy start to the equation…. Car started and ran perfect no misfires etc drove nearly 40 miles on a road test came back to the house turned the car off and it wouldn’t start again unless I used the easy start.

I really don’t want to sell the car I would rather fix it myself but I can’t get to the bottom of the issue and I don’t have the time to keep working on it whilst I’m working. This may be a quick fix for a mechanic who knows Mercedes Benz or it could be new injector(s).
