This is a listing for my 2009 Mercedes B180 CDi.

- It's a 1991cc diesel with a six speed manual gearbox.
- It has around 152,500 miles. This may go up as it is in occasional use.

It drives really nicely for its age, returns between 40-50mpg if you drive reasonably, and is surprisingly comfortable. It even still has its original Mercedes floor mats!

It is a vehicle that has been looked after mechanically (see history below). The only known mechanical issue is it has recently picked up a squeak when it's cold. Sounds like a tensioner or similar, something belt driven. The price has been reduced to reflect this. On the cosmetics; it isn't perfect, and it has had its share of scrapes and knocks. While these haven't been restored to perfection, work has been carried out to make sure that rust has been stopped. We have always sought to keep the vehicle solid and mechanically safe, with the cosmetics coming second. The previous owner did the same, and if you come to take a look, you'll see from reading through the service history that it has had considerable work carried out with this aim.

I have fitted rear parking sensors; these have a small distance display mounted on the rear view mirror with all the wiring run through the roof, out of sight. I also fitted a front and rear facing dash camera which is completely automatic again with the wiring as hidden as possible. Unfortunately the rear camera no longer works (I suspect the cable is damaged) and has been disconnected. It does have air conditioning, but that also doesn't work. The fourth owner replaced the condenser but that didn't fix the leak. I had it re-gassed when I took ownership but it didn't last, and I'm not all that bothered about having it so didn't take it further. The steering wheel is worn but has been patched with black tape - see the photos.

Service history from the first two owners is in the form of a summarised history provided by Mercedes Poole. From the third owner to now, the vehicle has full, documented service history with invoices included. This includes the bill of sale and pre-delivery inspection prior to the vehicle being delivered to the third owner.

The entire history is supplied in an A4 file with invoices organised by year, accompanied by a typed up history so you don't have to dig through invoices. If you come to look at the car, you would be welcome to take some time to read through the history.

Between 2024 and its MOT in 2025, it spent some months off the road and SORNed due to illness of the owner (me). Sadly, due to this illness, I'm no longer able to drive manual transmission cars, so despite the considerable work I've put into it, it's time to move it on.

Test Drive

If you're serious about buying, I'd be more than happy to take you out for a test drive. I have a route that takes around 15-20 minutes and covers a mix of national limit and local roads. I'm afraid that unless you can show fully comprehensive insurance that covers my vehicle, I can't let you drive.
