Description
Photographed this about a year ago and never got round to advertising it...
This is a lovely (semi-vintage 20+ years old) Ripcurl Jacket of a type, not surprisingly, no longer made. It is virtually ‘as new’ having been worn a few times and then stored as rather too big for me. It is a Large size – you need to be at least 42 chest to wear this. It would probably fit 44” easily. Large must mean extra large in Aussie…
First, the shape, this is a normal fit straight up / down jacket. It looks stupidly bottom heavy in the main photo as the hanger used is too small – ignore that.
Second, colour. Item is dark blue. To the naked eye it has NO scattering of white reflective bits as shown up by camera flash in some photos. The best colour rendering is probably [a] the close up of the elasticated cuff. That is what it looks like all over. Other photos have been enhanced to show detail but it has thrown the colour out. A large Ripcurl logo is repeated across the back of the jacket – forgot to photograph this.
Third, as indicated above, you need to be second cousin to a well-fed gorilla to wear this with just a T shirt on underneath. It is enormous!
Four, it is very, and I do mean very, warm to wear. This is not a lightweight in any sense of the word.
Zero faults, unless you count the usual ‘bleeding’ of a few strands of polyester fibre filling through the diamond pattern stitching. Photo shows this. Just leave it alone....
Two outer pockets, zipped. One inner pocket, Velcro. Labels all intact as shown. 100% Polyester. This is a really superb semi-vintage ‘as new’ jacket for somebody of suitable, large, stature.
