My son had Paul as his tutor for a few years from about Year 7 to GCSE maths. Paul’s tuition really transformed my son’s attitude to Maths. He didn’t like the subject and found it really difficult to understand concepts. Now he loves maths and is about to start an engineering degree with a large maths focus. Paul knew how to get through to students. I would hear them laughing and playing warm up maths games at the beginning of every lesson and my son never once complained about having to do an hour with Paul on Maths revision. I can’t recommend Paul highly enough and not only is he a fabulous tutor he is a very nice person too!

Paul is a brilliant and dedicated teacher! His explanations are so clear that my daughter was able to grasp and remember concepts that she’d previously struggled with at school. She found his methods hugely helpful, and even began to enjoy maths! Paul gave such good exam training that she achieved an 8 at GCSE, her highest grade.

Paul rebuilt my son's confidence by making maths fun and less scary for my son. Raised his GCSE grade from a 4/5 to an 8/9 in 2 yrs. paul is exam focussed and helped prepare cribsheets; he found the perfect balance between providing enough support and guidance on the one hand, but ensuring my son understood what he was being taught and the "way in" to a proble do he voukd have s go.

Paul starting tutoring my daughter at the beginning of year 11 and he has changed her whole attitude towards maths. I can genuinely say she hated maths and found it very difficult, however Paul gave her the confidence and belief that she was capable of doing well in the subject. I found Paul to be very reliable, always turning up on time and letting us know in advance if he couldn’t, and to conduct his sessions in a very organised and professional manner. As well as this, Paul’s support went above and beyond. He made a plethora of resources including revision packs, a website, and an app which my daughter found highly engaging. All together, I couldn’t recommend Paul’s services highly enough and I am extremely grateful for everything he has done for my daughter.

I became a student of Paul’s during year 11 after a long hard struggle with maths. I had always found the subject challenging and it was not something I enjoyed in the slightest. As well as this, my academic attainment in the subject was poor. However, being taught by Paul changed this drastically. His support and positive attitude towards the subject enabled me to take on the challenges in a different light, and I found enjoyment and an overall different perspective on the subject I hated so much. Thanks to Paul, not only did I move up a maths set in class, I managed to change my consistent 4s to a 7 by the time I sat the actual GCSE. Without his help I never would have achieved this and I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you Paul!
