Description
My name is Paul Woof and welcome to Whaddayaknow
I am here to help you pass your Maths GCSE. I offer 1-to-1 lessons crafted to the individual. These are supported by a growing collection of subject videos available privately and on YouTube.
I loved maths at school, university and work. When I retired I started giving lessons to those taking their GCSEs.
I soon realised that besides understanding, GCSE Maths is a memory problem, especially for those that are less interested. So I developed my own memory aids. It seems to work.
My lessons build understanding of key topics but they are also exam focused. Exam questions can be different to those in text books. My students gain confidence that they can tackle nearly all the questions they may face. I only teach GCSE students and I only take on one or two students for each exam cycle.
Something I offer, which is a bit novel, is a growing collection of videos on YouTube. Generally my students watch a video and then I follow up with a lesson on zoom. This enabled us to cover a lot of material thoroughly and fairly quickly.
A few caveats and confessions. I am not a qualified teacher with a background in eduction. I came to teaching via giving lessons to neighbours’ children and loved it. I don’t do this for a living, but I am committed to exam success for my students. So far the results have been great.
If you would like to know more then please email me. We could arrange a trial session and take it from there.
