Temp to Permanent | Day Shifts | Immediate Start

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Are you a hands-on team player with experience in a factory or warehouse environment? Aspired Talent is recruiting for a Finishing Operative to join a leading manufacturer based in Warrington, producing high-quality tarpaulins, covers, and related products.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in the finishing area, supporting eyeleting/grommeting, general finishing, basic welding (training provided), wrapping, packing, and helping your team hit safety, quality, and delivery targets every day.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate manual and pneumatic eyelet presses to fit eyelets, grommets, washers, and reinforcements accurately

Trim and finish products by fitting buckles, D rings, and other fixings

Carry out basic hot air or HF welding on hems and patches (full training provided)

Fold, bag, label, and prepare finished goods for dispatch

Handle materials safely using roll lifters, pallet trucks, and trolleys

Perform quality checks and keep accurate production records

Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all health and safety procedures

Support colleagues and share workload to meet daily production targets

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

Practical experience in a factory, warehouse, or trades environment

Comfortable using hand tools and presses with strong attention to detail

Able to read tape measures, drawings, and follow instructions accurately

Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team

Basic IT skills to record production data

Desirable:

Experience with eyelet/grommet presses and finishing hardware

Exposure to hot air or HF welding in textile manufacturing

Forklift or pallet truck certification

Familiarity with textile finishing or industrial sewing

Qualifications:

GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English preferred

Manual handling and basic health & safety training (company provided)

Physical Requirements:

Standing, bending, and manual handling of large sheets and rolls (lifting aids provided)

Working safely around presses, heat guns, and welding equipment with PPE

Training & Progression:

Full training on eyeleting, welding basics, and finishing standards

Clear progression routes to Skilled Finishing Operative, Senior Operative, or cross-training into Cutting, Welding, Sewing, or Team Leader roles
