Warehouse Operative

Description

Fortress Recruit is supporting a well-established local distributor in their search for a Warehouse Operative, to join their busy and supportive team in Fareham.

This role offers the chance to play a key part in the smooth running of a highly regulated warehouse environment, ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently and safely. You’ll be working closely with your team to maintain excellent standards of accuracy, compliance, and safety.

Key responsibilities will include:

Receiving, checking, and storing incoming goods.

*

Picking, packing, and dispatching orders on time.

*

Updating paperwork and warehouse systems accurately.

*

Operating warehouse equipment (e.g. counterbalance forklift- training provided).

*

Assisting with regular stock checks and inventory accuracy.

*

Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.

*

Supporting colleagues with priority warehouse tasks.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous warehouse experience.

*

Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.

*

A reliable, punctual, proactive approach and a strong team ethic.

*

Flexibility to adapt to the priorities of a busy warehouse environment.

*

Excellent health / physical fitness

*

A counterbalance forklift licence (desirable but not essential).

Please note, due to the nature of this role, you must be comfortable working in a highly regulated environment and will be required to complete relevant background checks. The role requires full right to work in the UK without visa or sponsorship requirement.
