Job Title: Warehouse Operations Shift Manager

Location: West Bristol / North Somerset

Reports to: Operations Manager

Salary: 35,000 – 40,000

Contract: Full–Time Permanent

Overview:

We're looking for a dedicated and motivated Operations Shift Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will supervise the logistics operation, ensuring all warehouse processes are executed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard by our Distribution Centre Operatives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise Operatives across all areas of warehouse and logistics operationsEnsure safety, efficiency, and adherence to standard operating proceduresOversee picking processes, prioritising workflow, activity, and resource allocationManage goods–in and returns processes with timely, accurate documentationSupport unloading/loading of containers, including planning and resource bookingDrive health & safety, cleanliness, and security standards throughout the facilityAssist with the onboarding and coaching of new staff; identify and raise skill gapsTake ownership of performance and absence management processes (e.g. informal discussions, return–to–work interviews)Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, developing project plans and KPIsLiaise with external providers and assist in maintaining business continuity through facilities managementCollaborate with other departments to align improvements with business goalsDocument and present improvement findings and updates to the Operations DirectorFacilitate workshops and meetings to encourage a culture of continuous improvementPerform any other duties in line with business needsKnowledge, Experience & Skills:

Essential:

Previous supervisory or shift management experienceStrong working knowledge of warehouse operationsExperience in Direct to Consumer (D2C) logisticsExcellent communication and team motivation skillsHealth & safety awareness Proactive team player with strong organisational skillsWillingness to lead and manage through coaching and exampleComfortable managing shift–based warehouse teamsDesirable:

IOSH Managing Safety certificationExperience within FMCG environmentsWhat We Offer:
