Position: Trainee Shotblaster

Location: Loughborough

Salary: 14.00 – 14.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm, Friday: 7:00am – 11:00am

The Role

A busy manufacturing company are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Trainee Shotblaster. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop hands–on skills within a busy manufacturing/engineering environment. Full training will be provided on the use of shot blasting equipment and safe working practices.

As a Trainee Shotblaster, you will work alongside experienced team members to prepare and clean metal components, ensuring surfaces are free from rust, paint, and scale before further processing, finishing, or coating.

Key Responsibilities

Learn to operate shot blasting equipment under supervision.

Prepare and clean metal surfaces to required standards.

Inspect components before and after blasting to ensure quality.

Assist with loading/unloading of parts into machinery.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Follow all health & safety guidelines, including PPE requirements.

Support wider production and finishing teams as required.

Skills & Attributes

Driving Licence /own car (due to location)Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Good attention to detail and quality standards.

Physically fit – able to handle manual tasks.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

Previous experience in a workshop, factory, or labouring environment is beneficial but not essential.
