Job Title: Trainee Slitting Operator

Location: Leeds

Department: Slitting

Reports To: Slitting Manager

Shifts: 12–hour rotating shifts (Days & Nights, Monday–Friday)

We're currently recruiting on behalf of a well–established client in the manufacturing and print sector, who is looking to bring a motivated and reliable Trainee Slitting Operator into their production team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a hands–on, full–time position in a supportive and professional environment. No prior experience is necessary – full training will be provided – but a background in production or manufacturing would be a strong advantage.

The Role:

As a Slitting Operator Trainee, you'll be responsible for running high–speed slitting machines, ensuring all work meets strict quality standards and is completed efficiently. You'll play a key role in the production process, helping to meet customer requirements and maintain the company's excellent service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Comexi slitting machine to meet daily production targetsPrioritise tasks according to the production scheduleFollow strict health & safety protocols and cleanliness standardsComplete job paperwork accurately and thoroughlyReport any faults or issues to supervisorsMaintain a tidy and organised workstationSupport wider production operations as neededAdhere to BRC, ISO, and company–specific quality standardsWhat We're Looking For:

No experience required – just a positive attitude and eagerness to learnPrevious experience in a production or manufacturing environment is a bonusBasic numeracy and attention to detailAbility to follow instructions and work independentlyComfortable with physical work, including manual handlingFlexible, reliable, and able to work rotating 12–hour shifts (including nights)Team player with a 'right first time' approach to workWhat's on Offer:
