We re looking for a Senior Analytical Chemist to join Monster Energy s EMEA Quality & QA team. This is a role for someone who enjoys getting hands–on in the lab, thrives on problem solving, and can combine strong technical expertise with leadership and ownership.

The Role

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you ll be responsible for analytical testing and chemistry support across raw materials, finished products, trial samples, and investigative work within the EMEA QC laboratory.

You ll play a key role in supporting laboratory operations, improving analytical methods, troubleshooting issues, and helping drive quality standards across the wider business.

This is a hands–on technical role with leadership responsibility, suited to someone who combines strong analytical capability with a proactive and solutions–focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Conducting routine analysis of raw materials, finished products, trial samples, and investigative samplesOperating and troubleshooting HPLC and GCMS instrumentationSupporting method development and continuous laboratory improvement initiativesInvestigating analytical issues, non–conformances, and quality concernsSupporting the Laboratory Manager with SOPs, documentation, and compliance activitiesManaging, mentoring, and developing junior team membersPresenting laboratory data, trends, and metrics where requiredSupporting the wider QA function with chemistry–related queriesPlanning and prioritising laboratory workloads effectivelyEnsuring all work is carried out in line with GLP standards

What We re Looking For

Degree qualified in Chemistry or a related scientific disciplineStrong hands–on HPLC and GCMS experienceExperience within a QC, food, beverage, FMCG, or contract laboratory environmentMethod development and troubleshooting capabilityPrevious experience working within GLP standardsStrong attention to detail and analytical thinking skillsComfortable working independently whilst also collaborating within a wider teamPrevious leadership or supervisory experience is highly advantageousStrong Excel and documentation capabilitySAP exposure would be beneficialSomeone adaptable, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast–moving environmentA practical, hands–on individual who enjoys solving problems and improving processes
