Sales & Estimating Manager – Sheet Metal Job Overview

Responsible for tendering for new business, project estimating, to include reading and understanding of customer drawings in a variety of different formatsAdvantageous to have knowledge of laser cutting, metal bending, welding processes / fabrication, painting and be self– motivated and familiar with all aspects of the tendering / quotation process to give accurate assumptions of manufacturingPreparing contracts for shop floor manufacture using manufacturing softwareRespond to customer enquiries, processing quotations in a polite timely mannerBuild relationships with current customer base and with new customers to maximise the sales from eachAble to break down Engineering Drawings into a suitable parts list to enable purchasing of materialAble to identify any subcontract requirements and generate enquiries to subcontractorsCapable of generating new business leads from research and be tenacious in approaching potential new customers in the most effective wayBe driven in achieving sales targets and reporting of resultsComfortable in holding face to face meetings with customers to discuss projectsConfident in discussing any contractual issues which may arise
