Quality Technician | Runcorn | £15.75/hr + Shift Allowance AM / PM + Bonuses + OT Available

This is a great opportunity for a Quality Technician to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Runcorn. With a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence and a strong focus on people development, the company continues to invest in its products, processes and culture.

Operating across a rotating shift pattern, this role would suit someone who is hands-on, methodical, and confident working independently. You'll play a key role in maintaining inspection standards across the site, whilst also supporting with customer quality concerns and internal process improvements. No two days are the same, and the right person will enjoy a healthy mix of structured checks, investigation work, and problem-solving.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Quality Technician:

* Carrying out inspections at various stages of the build process to ensure precision, performance and compliance

* Investigating any issues found and working with colleagues to identify the root of the problem, not just the symptoms

* Creating clear and accurate records of inspection results and flagging trends or recurring issues

* Carrying out production audits on a scheduled basis to monitor tooling, cleanliness, gauge use and documentation

* Supporting with responses to customer complaints or quality concerns, sometimes including visits to customer sites (UK & occasionally overseas)

* Assisting with incoming goods checks and resolving queries related to supplier components

* Playing an active part in a collaborative quality team, contributing to team meetings, improvement ideas and daily priorities

Who Would Suit This Role?

* Someone with a background in engineering, manufacturing or mechanical inspection ideally academically also.

* Experience working with measuring tools such as verniers, micrometres, or CMM is ideal

* Good understanding of technical drawings and how to interpret them

* Calm under pressure with strong organisational and decision-making skills

* Comfortable communicating with different teams and taking ownership of issues when needed

* Must have a valid UK driving licence and passport (occasional travel may be required)
