Quality Assurance Technician - FMCG

£17.26 per hour | Temporary | Rotating 3-shift pattern | Based in Runcorn | Immediate Start

About the Role:

Acorn by Synergie is seeking proactive Quality Assurance Technicians to join our client's fast-paced FMCG production site, located centrally in Runcorn. This is a temporary role offering an immediate start, with a competitive hourly rate and excellent shift structure - including paid breaks.

You'll work closely with both the Quality and Operations teams, playing a key role in ensuring food safety, product quality, and site compliance.

Working Hours:

Full-time - 39 hours per week

Rotating 3-shift pattern:

6am - 2pm

2pm - 10pm

10pm - 6am (nights)

All breaks are paidKey Responsibilities:

Conduct routine QA checks, GMP audits, hygiene inspections, and traceability reviews.

Monitor and verify food safety and quality compliance across production lines.

Manage non-conformances and concessions, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Carry out scheduled internal audits: HACCP, glass and brittle plastic, GMP, and food safety.

Assist in updating and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS), SOPs, and visual guides.

Provide additional support across QA functions, including laboratory work where needed.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a QA or food manufacturing environment is preferred.

Understanding of HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety principles.

Strong communication skills with a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.
