We are GROWING and are recruiting for the role of a Production Team Member to join the team at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK (TMUK)

FULL TIME PERMANENT POSITION

Burnaston Plant

GBP27,623 per annum

TMUK, based in Burnaston, Derby, is seeking Production Operatives to help build the Toyota Corolla as they prepare for the launch of the Toyota GR Corolla in 2026, following increased global demand. The GR Corolla is a high–performance, rally–inspired hatchback and is an exciting addition to the projects currently being managed within the plant.

You will be working within our Business Revenue Centre for Used Vehicle Refurbishments and accessory fitting. This position is perfect for those with prior experience as a production operative or warehouse operative. Production Operatives in this area are required to carry out manual processes that includes Polishing and Valeting.

Hours of work:

39 hours per week, Days OnlyDay shift only: (Monday Friday 07 33)You will need to attend a 15–minute briefing prior to the start of your shift.Weekend work at the request of the clientMandatory overtime which can be up to 2 hours including weekends Pay Rates:

The ability to follow standardised work and build the same way and to the same quality every timeGood hand dexterity coupled with physical stamina to perform repetitive tasksPrior experience of a labour–intensive role, where being on your feet all day is normalThe ability to maintain concentration and focus on highly repetitive tasksWillingness to learn and adapt across a range of processes and machineryGood attention to detailExcellent levels of attendance & timekeepingTo be committed to carrying out production overtime which may involve weekendsEnthusiasm and commitment to contribute to the businessExperience working as a production operative, warehouse operative or conducting standardised work (manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential) You will receive one–week s fundamental skills training in the dojo from Toyota experienced trainers to ensure you have the skills to work in a safe manner to meet the daily requirements and then will be supported over a number of weeks to ramp up on process in the production line/work area.
