Production Manager

Location: PontelandSalary: Circa 45,000Job Type: Full–timeOur client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and optimise manufacturing operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and managing production schedules, ensuring on–time delivery, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Day–to–day of the role:

Plan, manage, and execute production schedules to meet customer delivery targets (OTIF).Ensure manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently in line with KPIs.Lead daily production meetings, track actions, and ensure timely resolution.Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices across operations.Conduct root cause analysis and resolve operational issues promptly.Maintain strict compliance with Health & Safety procedures.Manage team performance through regular 1:1s, training, and development.Oversee housekeeping standards and ensure workplace organisation.Collaborate with HR on disciplinary matters and performance management.Ensure staff have the right tools, training, and resources to succeed.Managing a team of approximately 30 operatives and panel assemblers, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency standards.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years' experience in production and planning management.Strong background in manufacturing, assembly, and warehousing (electrical industry preferred).Knowledge of electrical panel wiring and assembly processes.Proven ability to analyse data and drive performance improvements.Experience in mentoring and developing teams.Continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing expertise.Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.Full UK driving licence.Benefits:
