Product Technologist

Harrow (Hybrid working, with some UK/EU travel)

£35,000 - £38,000 + Benefits

Are you passionate about food quality and safety? Do you have a strong technical background and a keen eye for product compliance and improvement? We are working with a leading retail group who are looking to add a Product Technologist to their dynamic team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a national brand, supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality products across a wide convenience and household goods range.

The Role:

You'll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure all products meet high standards of food safety, quality, and compliance. You'll be responsible for supporting product launches, monitoring complaints and quality issues, and helping the business stay ahead of industry legislation.

About You:

Degree or equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology, or similar

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a technical role within the food industry

HACCP Level 3 and TACCP qualified

Experience with food safety management systems such as BRCGS or GFSI

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Confident in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) An auditing qualification and experience liaising with retail associations or regulatory bodies would be an advantage but not essential.

Key responsibilities include:

Monitoring product quality and driving improvements with suppliers

Supporting supplier audits and approvals

Managing risk assessments and food safety systems (HACCP, TACCP)

Supporting new product launches to ensure they meet compliance and safety standards

Staying up to date with emerging legislation and industry risks What’s on Offer:

Salary £35,000 - £38,000 depending on experience

35-hour working week

Hybrid working (office in Harrow)

UK/EU travel as required
