Process Development Technologist - Chilled Food Manufacturing

Location: Spalding

Salary: £28,500-£30,000 (flexible depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (flexibility required for early trials)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:

We're working with a leading chilled food manufacturer supplying major retailers including Morrisons and Co-op.

Due to a recent departure, they're looking for a Process Development Technologist to join their small, close-knit team. This is a fast-paced environment where adaptability and a positive attitude are key.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage product development from concept through to launch, ensuring all stages are completed to a high standard.

Support packaging sign-off and approve non-legal artwork.

Participate in taste panels - must be able to taste test products (not suitable for those with gluten allergies).

Assist with legal labelling (training provided - certification not required).

Collaborate with the Process Manager and fellow Technologist on innovation projects, including emerging trends like Asian flavours.

Work flexibly to support trials, which may require early starts (e.g. 6am) or later finishes.What We're Looking For:

Minimum 1 year in a process technologist role, ideally within chilled food manufacturing.

Experience working in a high-speed production environment.

Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Comfortable with change and able to adapt to shifting priorities.

Qualifications: Degree not essential - experience is key. HACCP Level 2/3 is a bonus.

A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.The team is looking for someone who can bring stability and commitment.
