Description

Panel Wirer Required ASAP Wokingham. Immediate Start Available. 20–25/hour

Role Overview

Our client are looking for an experienced Production Technician (Contractor) to support the assembly and testing of electrical and electronic systems. This role is ideal for a hands–on technician with a strong background in electrical assembly, particularly within maritime or offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities

Perform soldering and PCB assembly to a high standard.

Build and wire electrical cabinets and enclosures.

Assemble and install control systems and low voltage electrical systems.

Interpret and work from system diagrams, schematics, and wiring schedules.

Quality review of drawings and provide feedback to support functions.

Conduct functional testing and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Work in accordance with DNV and Lloyd's Register standards where applicable.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.

Essential Requirements

Demonstrable experience in:

– Soldering and PCB assembly

– Cabinet/enclosure builds

– Wiring and control systems

– Low voltage installations

Strong understanding of electrical principles.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Must hold electrical certification (minimum City & Guilds 2365, BS7671, or 18th Edition).

Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Experience

Experience in maritime or offshore electrical systems.

Familiarity with DNV and Lloyd's Register standards.

Background in regulated or quality–focused environments
