Operations Supervisor

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll oversee daily operations, lead and motivate your team, and deputise for the Operations Manager when required. You’ll play a key part in achieving production targets while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance standards are always met.

Key Responsibilities

Champion health & safety, ensuring compliance with regulations, procedures, and audits.

*

Lead by example, fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive team culture.

*

Achieve daily production KPIs, maintaining efficiency and minimising downtime.

*

Oversee resources, stock management, and dispatch operations.

*

Maintain quality standards, supporting audits and compliance requirements.

*

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve processes.

*

Manage staffing levels, inductions, training, and performance reviews.

*

Contribute to environmental and sustainability programmes.

*

Provide accurate operational reporting and support contingency planning.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

*

Experience in FMCG or a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

*

Proven leadership/supervisory experience in production or operations.

*

Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

*

Food Hygiene Level 2 and IOSH Working Safely (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable:

*

FLT Counterbalance licence.

*

IOSH Managing Safely, HACCP Level 2, or First Aid at Work.

*

Experience supporting external audits (e.g., BRC, ISO).

*

ILM or similar leadership training
