Mechanical OperatorShort–Term Contract until February 2027

GBP15.00 per hour GBP29,640 per annum

Day Shift 38 Hours per Week

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Operator to join a well–established manufacturing business on a fixed–term basis until approximately February 2027. This role would suit candidates with mechanical assembly experience who enjoy hands–on work within a production environment.

Working HoursMonday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pmTotal: 38 hours per weekThe Role – Mechanical OperatorAs a Mechanical Operator, you will be responsible for assembling and testing products and components to meet quality and production standards. Working as part of an experienced manufacturing team, you will ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities – Mechanical OperatorAssemble products and components using engineering drawings and work instructions.Prepare and assemble mechanical parts using bolts, fasteners, and fittings.Use hand tools such as spanners, Allen keys, torque wrenches, and screwdrivers.Carry out quality inspections and report any defects or non–conformances.Read and follow manufacturing documentation and assembly instructions.Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.Support production targets while adhering to health and safety procedures. Requirements – Mechanical OperatorPrevious mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience.Confident using a range of hand tools.Ability to read and follow technical instructions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Good communication and teamwork skills.Reliable and safety–conscious approach to work.
