Description

Maintenance Planner - £16.32 per hour

Location: Port Clarence

Hours: Monday-Friday, 06:30-15:30

Contract: Ongoing temporary (via Manpower)

Manpower is recruiting on behalf of a leading industrial gas and engineering organisation for a Maintenance Planner to support safe, reliable operation across an Upper Tier COMAH production site and associated satellite sites. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent planning ability, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

Prioritise and plan all maintenance activities, ensuring safety is always the top priority.

Develop and maintain maintenance schedules using a CMMS (e.g., PEMAC, SAP, Maximo).

Ensure all materials, consumables, and spare parts are available, correctly specified, and accurately recorded.

Support the Maintenance Manager with planned preventive maintenance and safety-critical tasks.

Manage planning for maintenance activities at smaller remote COMAH sites.

Maintain asset integrity schedules, inspection routines, and necessary follow-up actions.

Track maintenance expenditure against budgets.

Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, engineering teams, and internal inspection bodies.

Ensure all unplanned work is captured and used to improve the overall maintenance plan.

Support site audits (HSE, Mechanical, Electrical, Process Safety, etc.).

Raise purchase orders, receipt goods, and maintain stock control.

Ensure all modifications follow the correct internal specifications and processes.

General administrative support as required.

Skills, Experience & Knowledge

Ideally NVQ Level 3 / HNC / Apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, process, or chemical engineering.

IOSH qualification (or willingness to obtain).

Experience using CMMS (PEMAC, SAP, Maximo, etc.).

Strong understanding of Permit to Work systems and safe systems of work.

Knowledge of COMAH, PSSR, and asset integrity requirements.

Experience planning maintenance and resource schedules.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and stock/ordering systems. xjnqpsq

Experience working in hazardous or regulated industrial environments is highly advantageous.
