Shift: Monday–Thursday 07:30–16:30 Friday 07:30–12:30

Pay Rate: 12.32 per hour

A specialist casting manufacturer based in Leicester. They have been operating for over 50 years and serve a broad range of industries globally.

The Role:

We're looking for a reliable and safety–conscious Machine Operative to join a busy and growing manufacturing team, working in a foundry environment.

You'll play a key role in supporting production through the safe operation of foundry and cut–off equipment in the manufacture of precision castings.

This is a hands–on, physical position where quality, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Foundry Operations

Weigh and record charge materials accuratelySafely load furnaces using approved handling equipmentInspect furnace linings and crucibles before chargingPre–heat moulds prior to pouringMonitor furnace temperatures within specified limitsCut–Off Operations

Prepare parts, securing them in fixturesIdentify correct cutting points and safely operate saws or cut–off wheelsRemove parts from trees and segregate scrap for re–meltMaintain safe working practices with correct guarding and secure gripAbout You:

Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment desirable (training provided)Ability to follow technical instructions and standard operating proceduresComfortable working with heat, noise, and dust in a physical roleReliable, safety–focused, and a strong team playerHigh attention to detail with a commitment to qualityHow to Apply:
