Junior CNC Programmer

Are you detail–driven, logical, and ready to take your first step into engineering or manufacturing? We're looking for a Junior Laser Programmer to join our growing team in Thatcham.

In this role, you ll work with advanced CAD/CAM software to create cutting programmes for a CNC laser machine. You ll be transforming technical drawings and customer specs into clear, efficient instructions that help produce top–quality sheet metal components.

From GBP536 per week Full–time, Permanent Monday to Friday Key Responsibilities:

Create accurate laser cutting programmes using CAD/CAM software Prepare nested layouts to minimise material waste Interpret technical drawings and translate them into clean cut files Ensure programmes are optimised for machine settings and materials Organise and manage digital files for traceability and efficiency Liaise with production staff to ensure smooth job flow Support continuous improvement initiatives What You ll Bring:

Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high–quality work Good problem–solving ability and logical mindset Confidence with CAD software and reading technical drawings Solid general computer literacy (file management, basic office tools) Self–motivated, punctual, and organised Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Desirable (Not Essential):
