Title: Inspector & Packing Operative

Location: Hyde, Greater Manchester

Salary: up to GBP15 per hour

Shift: Mon–Thur 07:30 – 16:30 Fri 07:30 – 13:30

About our Client

Our client is a small, family–run precision engineering company in Hyde. They produce high–quality machined components for a range of industries, working with both metals and plastics. They are looking for a detail–focused Inspection & Packing Operative to ensure their parts meet exacting quality standards and are securely packaged for delivery to their customers.

Job Summary

–Inspect machined components using measuring tools to confirm they meet drawing tolerances

–Use microscopes and visual inspection equipment to check surface finish to ensure it meets our high quality standards

–Accurately record inspection results

–Pack parts in a secure and protective manner for despatch

–Work closely with machinists and office staff to meet customer deadlines

Desired Requirements

–Experience in using measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges (training can be provided

–Good attention to detail and a methodical approach

–Reliable, with good organisational skills

–Previous experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment is an advantage
