Factory operative/fork lift driver

Description

We are seeking a skilled Factory worker/ Forklift Operator to join dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to load and unload materials, ensuring efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.

Shift pattern - 7:30-4:30pm Mon-thur and 7:00-4pm Fri

Pay rate depending on experience

Temp-perm position

Responsibilities

* Operate forklifts to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas.

* Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage techniques are followed.

* Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using the warehouse management system.

* Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying that all incoming and outgoing shipments are correct.

* Perform routine equipment checks and minor repairs to ensure optimal forklift performance.

* Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised and efficient warehouse environment.

* Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment and handling materials.

Skills

* Proficient in operating forklifts with a valid forklift licence.

* Strong understanding of materials handling principles and warehouse operations.

* Experience with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory movements.

* Basic mechanical knowledge for performing minor equipment repairs.

* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

* Basic mathematical skills for inventory counting and record keeping.
