Fabrication Supervisor

Description

We have been retained by a manufacturer in Knowsley to source a Production Supervisor to head up a small but busy fabrication and welding department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to add value to a well–established and growing business and who wants to progress their career further.

This is a pivotal role for our client and is viewed as a key appointment in the business.

Reporting to the Production Manager and with a team of 8–10 direct reports, you will be responsible for:

Leading the team and ensuring that product is being progressed through the department in line with the daily schedule. Drive process adherence, Look at and establish an improvement plan. Reduce unnecessary bottlenecks across the function. Work with other, departmental, leaders on the overall operational plan.

Currently a Production team leader or supervisor, you will be experienced in fabrication and or welding and will have led a small team. Ideally you will be apprentice trained and will have then gained some experience in a hands–on leadership capacity. You will, ideally, be looking to progress your career further.
