Electrical Craftsperson – Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer

At our Formula manufacturing facility in Newark, we're seeking a Shift Electrical Craftsperson/Electrical Engineer. This a great opportunity to join a highly skilled team dedicated to the ongoing improvement and maintenance of our gypsum plaster production plant.
As an Electrical Craftsperson / Maintenance Engineer, you will join a highly skilled team tasked with delivering focused preventative scheduled maintenance, reactive repairs, some installation work, and supporting the ongoing improvement of plant equipment. The work involves working against preventative maintenance schedules in a CMMS system, completing daily walk arounds, and creating work orders against issues identified. Interacting with our wider engineering team and Production Operators, ensuring plant is performing to optimal levels. You will be tasked with identifying solutions through fault finding, the application of root cause analysis, the application of lean tools, while ensuring that safety protocols are always followed.

Formula is a leading supplier of industrial gypsum and plaster products, with applications in multiple industries including construction materials, ceramics, dental and personal care, food and agriculture, and more. Formula currently operates from 8 global manufacturing sites, supplying over 80 countries across all 5 continents.
You will be working 12 hour shifts following this pattern: 3 day shifts, then 2 off. 2 day shifts., then one off. 2 night shifts, then 2 days off. 3 night shifts, then 6 days off.
What we're looking for:
The applicant will ideally have served a recognised electrical apprenticeship or demonstrate a minimum of NVQ3 Electrical or comparable qualification with relevant industrial experience.Experience in Professional Maintenance in a comparable manufacturing setting, with skills in fault finding and route cause analysis.Computer literacyExperience in using permit to work systems and other safe systems of work such as conducting risk assessments and method statements.Experience in using a CMMS system and contributing to writing maintenance planning.A continuous improvement mindsetAre Formula and Saint–Gobain inclusive employers?
