Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Position: Electrical Design Engineer
Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Nailsworth, Stroud
About the Role:We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for our client, a specialist and rapidly growing engineering company. This exciting opportunity involves supporting the production of new designs and modifying/updating existing designs by producing accurate technical drawings.
You will be joining a company with a global reputation, providing critical services to the aircraft industry. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will undertake design work on contracts based on the analysis of specifications, produce accurate CAD drawings, and liaise closely with production, purchasing, and sales teams.
Essential Requirements:
Proficient in CAD software
If you are looking to get off the tools and get into a more design role.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to review and modify drawings
Experience managing a team of electricians
Strong customer service skills — the role may be client-facing
Technical understanding of components being designed
Familiarity with resistors, diodes, and relays
Desirable Skills:
PLC knowledge (advantageous but not essential)
R&D experience
