CNC Setter Programmer Night Shift

Location: Redditch

Salary: GBP40,000GBP42,000 per annum (GBP1617 per hour 20%–night shift premium)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8pm6am

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Setter Programmer to join our precision engineering team on the night shift. The successful candidate will have hands–on experience with sliding head lathes (Swiss–type), vertical milling machines, and multi–axis CNC lathes (35 axis preferred). You will be responsible for setting, programming, and optimising CNC machinery to deliver high–quality, high–volume components in a fast–paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities of this CNC Setter Programmer role:

Program, set, and operate CNC machinery, including sliding head lathes (Hanwha, Star, Citizen, Tornos).Work with vertical milling machines and multi–axis lathes (35 axis).Create and edit CNC programs, ensuring maximum efficiency and precision.Perform tooling setup, offsets, and adjustments as required.Manufacture high–volume precision components such as nuts, bolts, and fasteners.Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in a fast–paced, precision engineering environment.Troubleshoot machine and program issues to minimise downtime.Adhere to safety standards and carry out routine machine checks.Requirements of this CNC Setter Programmer role:

Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Programmer in a production environment.Strong knowledge of sliding head lathes Hanwha, Star, Citizen, Tornos (essential).Experience with vertical milling and multi–axis lathes (35 axis).CNC programming knowledge (Fanuc or similar control systems).Background in precision engineering and large batch/high–volume production.Ability to work effectively in a fast–paced environment.Strong problem–solving and troubleshooting skills.If you're ready to make your mark and be part of something meaningful, apply today.
