CNC Machinist / CNC Router

Description

Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for CNC Machinists/CNC Routers based in the outskirts of Norwich. Own transport is essential due to site location and previous experience required.

This is an excellent temp to perm opportunity.

Duties and responsibilities:

Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines and CNC routers to produce parts to specificationsInterpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to ensure accurate machiningSelect appropriate tools, machine speeds, and feeds for various materials and finishesPerform quality checks using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gaugesPerform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organizedAdjust offsets and modify programs as necessary to improve efficiency and accuracyMaintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and inspection activitiesAny other duties as required Requirements:

Mechanical Engineering and CNC router or equivalent relevant workplace experience is essentialAbility to operate and set up manual milling/turning and CNC machinesKnowledge of CNC program would be an advantageThe ability to create CNC files and path to the filesHave a working understanding of the principles and tools of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools within a low volume, high quality manufacturing facilityAbility to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive, even under tight deadlines and pressure, while maintaining attention to detail and quality Shift pattern:
