A well–established, family–owned logistics business based in Knowsley is seeking a skilled Transport Coordinator to join its busy and friendly team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of transport operations, working closely with customers, drivers, and third–party hauliers.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast–paced environment, have excellent organisational skills, and bring a solid understanding of third–party logistics and pallet network systems.

The Candidate;

Proven experience within a transport coordination or administration role, ideally with significant 3PL exposure.Strong knowledge of pallet network systems.Exceptional organisational and time management skills.Confident communicator with both customers and internal teams.Proficient in IT systems for scheduling, reporting, and documentation.Solutions–focused approach to problem–solving. Duties and Responsibilities;

Plan and organise transport schedules for transport units, ensuring timely full–load deliveries and collectionsManage pallet network operations, overseeing a high volume of consignments and pallets weekly.Allocate volume to postcodes and ensure rates are accurately recorded.Liaise with drivers, customers, and multiple hauliers to coordinate smooth operations.Prepare and maintain all transport–related documentation, including invoices and delivery notes.Monitor shipment progress, track KPIs, and report on performance.Provide exceptional customer service while resolving any logistical issues quickly and efficiently.Foster strong customer relationships.
