Traffic Operator

Amour Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a pair of Traffic Operators, to join our long standing client based in Southampton.

In this fantastic career opportunity, you'll join the team as a crucial component of the transport team, Responding to reactive haulage requests, supporting drivers, and ensuring a smooth operation.

This role requires heavy communication, as well as a precise attention to detail, as such you'll need to have great written and verbal communication, as well as being organised and precise.

Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate daily vehicle routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries. Monitor driver schedules and vehicle movements, responding quickly to delays or operational issues. Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates and maintain service levels. Ensure compliance with transport legislation, company policies, and health & safety requirements. Maintain accurate transport records, booking information, and operational documentation. Requirements:

Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or traffic operator role preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast–paced environment. Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with drivers, customers, and stakeholders. Good IT skills, including experience using transport management systems and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of driver hours, vehicle compliance, and transport regulations would be advantageous. We have two shifts available:

8:30–18:00 Monday to Friday 14:00–22:00 Monday to Friday Salary: 30,000 to 36,00 Depending on Experience
