Salary: 38,000 – 42,000

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to lead the planning operations within a growing logistics business based in Spalding.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take ownership of a planning function and make an impact within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be personable, have strong technical knowledge and high attention to detail in order to deliver a first–class service to customers. Ongoing training and development opportunities are also on offer.

This role is working Monday – Friday, 7am – 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the transport planning operation to ensure timely, efficient and cost–effective deliveries.Allocate resources, organise schedules and ensure that robust planning is in place to meet service level agreements.Ensure compliance to legislative requirements including Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.Ongoing focus on continuous improvement and constantly strive to improve operational efficiencies and fleet performance.Support the Transport Manager with compliance, audits and reporting.

Experience:

Previous experience in a planning role within a fast–paced transport operation.Strong knowledge of UK road transport regulations.Good IT skills including use of Excel and transport management systems.Strong communication skills, able to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.Transport Manager CPC (desirable but not essential).Processing Your Data
