Our client is a well–established, growing business providing high–end luxury portable toilets and welfare facilities for festivals, corporate events, sporting occasions and filming. With a close–knit team of 20, they are known for presentation, reliability and service that matches the quality of the events they work at.

They now need an Operations Manager to run the day–to–day operation and keep the quality high as the business grows.

You'll lead the people and processes that get the right units to the right place, in perfect condition, every time.

THE ROLE

Run daily operations, from scheduling and logistics to delivery, set–up, servicing and collection

Plan and coordinate the fleet, drivers and event crews, especially in the busy season

Lead, motivate and develop the operations team, including rotas, performance and training

Keep the fleet and equipment in top condition through maintenance, cleaning and inspection routines

Manage vehicle compliance, health and safety, risk assessments and waste regulations

Work with sales and customer service so bookings are delivered smoothly and customer expectations are met

Deal with problems quickly on the day, including late changes and last–minute requests

Manage stock, suppliers and costs, and look for ways to make the operation more efficient

Report to the directors on performance, capacity and planning

ABOUT YOU

Proven experience managing operations, logistics or field–based teams

Strong planning and organisational skills, calm when things change at short notice

Natural leader who can manage a team and set high standards

Good understanding of health and safety and vehicle or transport compliance

Customer–focused, with a high attention to detail and presentation

Full UK driving licence

Desirable

Experience in events, hire, waste services, hospitality or a similar service business

A relevant qualification, such as an IOSH, NEBOSH or transport management certificate

Knowledge of waste and environmental regulations

This is a hands–on role in a friendly, growing business where you'll have real influence, a visible impact and a team that takes pride in what it does.
