Class 1 HGV Drivers (Nights) Are you an experienced HGV Driver looking for a new opportunity We are currently recruiting for a Class 1 HGV Drivers (Nights) to join our Ipswich depot, carrying out night trunking to our pallet network hubs Monday Friday.

About the role:
As a Class 1 HGV Drivers (Nights), you will operate your vehicle efficiently and safely, ensuring fuel–efficient driving and correct handling of equipment. You will supervise the loading and unloading of goods, ensure correct strapping and security of loads, and maintain high safety standards at all times. You will represent the company professionally in all interactions with clients and the public. This is a full–time, permanent night–shift role, working Monday to Friday, with a minimum of 9 hours per night.
Key responsibilities include:
Completing daily vehicle checks, reporting defects, and ensuring safe and legal operationComplying with all legal, regulatory, and company requirementsProviding clear PODs (written or electronic) for each consignmentCommunicating professionally with the traffic office regarding issues or incidents
About you:
As our next Class 1 HGV Drivers (Nights), you will have a full UK driving licence with Category C+E (Class 1) entitlement, a valid CPC, and ideally previous experience in a similar position, although this is not essential as full induction training will be provided. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a courteous and professional manner, and a strong commitment to maintaining your vehicle in a safe, clean, and tidy condition. An ADR licence is desirable but not essential.
